How the West Was Wonderful

This is not improv-related, or even comedy-related, but it must be shared.

If you were born at any point in the late 70s/early 80s, chances are you went to an elementary school with a room filled with old Apple IIs. And one of the few programs worth running for those old beasts was Oregon Trail. This game was an important part of my youth, inasmuch as it gave me a reason to be at school. Buying supplies, fording the river, shooting deer: ah, the memories.

Thank the Gods, then, for sending us someone smart enough to make a firefox plugin that will enable you to play the game on the magical internet!

Hint: do not, under any circumstances, press your backspace key.

More unexpurgated photographic evidence of our shenanigans:

Ninja Improv

Honestly? So much fun. Next time we're trying it on a trampoline. Maybe.

Coda: Have you noticed that TINJUN NIU = NINJU UNIT? It's true. And it is a dark and forboding omen.

Hollywood

Jon, Aviva and I did a show today for the Richmond Heritage Whatchamacallit. Basically a bunch of kids from across the city presenting their little history projects. They loved the show. After we were done, and just mulling about the front of the stage, this little girl comes up to me and says "Can I have your autograph?"

This girl was so moved by my jokes about Mexican Carnies, by the appearance of my alarmingly long arms from behind some tiny kid, by my skillful use of the words "fire hydrant" in One Word Story, that she wanted me to scribble my name on a bit of paper.

How could I say no? I could not. She also got Jon and Aviva's signatures. Jon put his phone number as well, which was mildly creepy. I think it was for her mom, though. It was confusing...
